The Science to INSTAnt Likes

Instagram has indeed conquered the lives of a lot of people who have the application in their phone. The best thing that people can get from posting photos of places, their pets, or even themselves, are LIKES. These likes come in hearts, however.

Many people love that sense of achievement of being able to get even at least 20 likes on a photo that they upload into their profiles. The more if these likes aren't even from their own followers. In the infographic posted above, Curalate, a visual analytics and marketing firm, works out what makes and Instagram image a hit.

In making this infographic, it has been taken into account that Instagram has taught people two things. No, they are not hashtags and filters. Rather, it's to be minimalistic, or over-the-top. In this infographic, it can be seen that the minimalistic approach was taken. And, well, maybe some filters.

Vector Blargh

Never will I ever understand why people will never be satisfied with the little things. Haha. Just kidding. To be very honest, I wasn't hit with that much inspiration while I was doing these vectors. Hence, These very boring outputs.

Then again, I must say, learning how to make vectors has indeed inspired me to go back to my digital art days. Or just go back to drawing in general. Moving on, you can pretty much see how much I've been missing out on digital art by looking at those pieces. Yep. I need practice. A lot of it.

Lastly, the art looked good initially. "Initially" being the highlighted word. It looked rather sloppy after I added outlining to it. Well, I tried. Nyaha.

Social and Ethical Issues on Multimedia

Crimes continue to grace the internet waves as people still continue to go against the rules of media. And because it's such a recurring trend, not many people have opted to stop the evil-doers.

1. Copywright
This is as cliche as things can get. Many people have pretty much claimed something for their own, or have failed to cite the owner of what they are using/posting. They give no credit to the original people behind all of it and continue to get away with it.

My advice? Citations baby. Make sure that you do post, or link, what you're posting to the person whom initially did it all. This is a common practice but there are still people who go against it.

2. Bad-mouthing (or, well, Bad-typing)
Multimedia does not limit itself to photos and videos, the trend these days are blogs. And another trend to follow is cyber-bullying. Many people have come to resolve their hate towards others in more ways than one. However, due to the dawn of social networking sites, they have ended up letting out their frustrations towards others in a discrete, but at the same time, not so discrete manner.

People, just don't. What more could you possibly achieve by doing all this? I understand that you really do want to release, and doing it in social media seems to be the best reason. However, when/if you do go on with this, then try to go ninja stealth mode and do it to a point where the person you're referring to doesn't realize anything.

Another way to stop? Well, STOP. Cyber bullying continues to get people to do crazy things to the point of suicide. Need another reason to stop? Get away from the computer. Done.
