Social and Ethical Issues on Multimedia

Crimes continue to grace the internet waves as people still continue to go against the rules of media. And because it's such a recurring trend, not many people have opted to stop the evil-doers.

1. Copywright
This is as cliche as things can get. Many people have pretty much claimed something for their own, or have failed to cite the owner of what they are using/posting. They give no credit to the original people behind all of it and continue to get away with it.

My advice? Citations baby. Make sure that you do post, or link, what you're posting to the person whom initially did it all. This is a common practice but there are still people who go against it.

2. Bad-mouthing (or, well, Bad-typing)
Multimedia does not limit itself to photos and videos, the trend these days are blogs. And another trend to follow is cyber-bullying. Many people have come to resolve their hate towards others in more ways than one. However, due to the dawn of social networking sites, they have ended up letting out their frustrations towards others in a discrete, but at the same time, not so discrete manner.

People, just don't. What more could you possibly achieve by doing all this? I understand that you really do want to release, and doing it in social media seems to be the best reason. However, when/if you do go on with this, then try to go ninja stealth mode and do it to a point where the person you're referring to doesn't realize anything.

Another way to stop? Well, STOP. Cyber bullying continues to get people to do crazy things to the point of suicide. Need another reason to stop? Get away from the computer. Done.
